The management of Federal College of Agriculture, FECA Akure has sent a “save our soul” message to the Federal Government and members of the National Assembly to rescue the institution from the clutches of land encroachers.
The provost of the college, Akinyemi Faduyimu who led a peaceful protest said if the intrusion is not addressed, it may push the institution into extinction.
He called for the intervention of relevant authorities.
This is not the first time the management and students of the college are protesting over allegation of encroachment on the institution’s territory by land grabbers.

The management of the school is accusing the Police AIG in charge of zone 17 of taking sides in the matter.
But a statement issued by the office of AIG Zone 17 described the institution’s claims as false and misleading.
It exonerated the AIG from any wrongdoing, asserting that the opposing party had obtained a writ of execution from a court of law.
