Nigeria’s Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, has kicked-off the festive season in Enugu State, Southeast Nigeria, with the unveiling of the Enugu Christmas Village and several other exciting facilities.
The State government has described these innovative projects as the “magic of the festive season,” promising to light up the holidays with joy and unity.
For the first time, the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, is on an official visit to Enugu State, South East Nigeria where she had the honour of unveiling the Enugu Christmas Village, the State’s first-ever festive hub, located at the iconic Naira Triangle in Enugu City.
This initiative, part of Governor Peter Mbah administration’s efforts to add to the holiday experiences, serves as a one-stop destination for relaxation, reconnection with family and friends, idea-sharing, and strengthening community bonds.

Adding to the excitement, the Minister also performed the lighting up of the Christmas Village, as well as the Unity Park located at the Independence Layout, further adding to the city’s festive ambience.
Earlier, at the Lion Building in Enugu State Government House, Governor Mbah received the Minister, inviting her to partner with the State government in unlocking Enugu’s huge economic potentials in the Arts, Tourism, and Creative sectors.
The Governor shared his ambitious goal of attracting three million tourists annually, thereby positioning Enugu as a premier destination for cultural and economic growth.
