Barely two weeks after the association of residents doctors in Ekiti state university teaching hospital commenced indefinite strike.
Another industrial crisis is looming in the teaching hospital as consultants under the aegis of Medical and dental consultants association of Nigeria is urging the ekiti state government to improve funding of the hospital.

The chairman of the Union, Oluwatoyin Okuwole in a chat with ait.live lamented the inability of the Ekiti state government to pay arrears of deductions to members of the union.
He said the reduction of the subvention to the hospital by the Ekiti state government is responsible for the current industrial dispute in the hospital.
Efforts to get the Ekiti state’s commissioner for health, Dr. Filani proved abortive as his media aide directed our crew to the chairman of the hospital’s management board who is not in Nigeria at the moment.
