Akwa Ibom state Governor, Umo Eno says any government that cannot present itself for scrutiny is not worthy to be in office.

Governor Eno stated this at the opening of the maiden state executive council ministerial briefing/ end of year review.

For the first time in the history of Akwa Ibom state, the government brought together major stakeholders in the state from the political class to organized labour , civil society organizations, pressure groups and others to present its score card and open itself for critical examination of its performance.

In his opening remarks, Governor Umo Eno stated that it was critical to examine activities of government which formed the basis for the briefing

Governor Eno made it clear that he would not succumb to pressure by profligate spending of scarce financial resources of the state to satisfy the interests of certain individuals

There were goodwill messages, all commending the initiative being first of its kind.

There were also Presentations from Ibom Deep Sea Port Implementation Committee, Ministries of Works and Fire Service, Economic Development, Lands and Town Planning.
