Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Uche Secondus has made what seems like a veiled attack on the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, accusing him of playing god and forgetting that people like him were instrumental to his rise to power.

Secondus, who mentioned no name recalled the former Governor, who is now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, once said beyond God, he remained indebted to him (Secondus) and other political leaders in the state for his political fortunes but his recent acts seem to suggest otherwise.

The former PDP National Chairman was speaking at the commissioning of internal roads of Bori in Khana local government area of Rivers State.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara was on hand to commission the phase of internal roads of 23 streets and roads spanning about 14 kilometres.

The project contract was awarded during the final days of the immediate past administration, but no payment was made to the contractor until Governor Fubara took over.

Governor Fubara said he is embarking on the project simply because of his love for the people and not for any political or personal interest, adding that the success of Bori, which is the headquarters of his senatorial district, will also be another success story for him.

The governor also took a swipe at some Ogoni leaders he accused of being engaged in sabotaging the development of the state.
