Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has disbursed fifty million Naira to two hundred and fifty Bauchi elderly senior citizens aged 65 and above in Bauchi State, Northeast Nigeria.

Representing the president’s wife, the wife of Bauchi Governor, Aisha Bala, said the cash disbursement is under the Renewed Hope initiative of President Tinubu’s administration.

This is the second edition of the Renewed Hope Initiative for Elderly Support Scheme, with a theme: “Total wellness: A Happy and Prosperous Lifestyle.”

According to Aisha Bala, each beneficiary is expected to go home with two hundred thousand Naira, aimed at supporting the welfare of elderly senior citizens annually.

In appreciation for the gesture, the beneficiaries lauded the wife of the president and the Bauchi State Governor’s wife, Aisha Bala, for the timely intervention.

In a bid to ensure transparency in the disbursements, the governor’s wife personally disbursed the funds to the beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries of the scheme, according to the president’s wife, include aged men and women, veterans from the defence, and police officers wives.
