Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill of ₦971.84 billion into law.
The signing of the budget, titled “Exponential Growth and Inclusive Prosperity,” maintains the exact amount proposed by the Governor about a month ago.
Governor Mbah said the budget reflects the collective commitment to ensuring no one and no community in the state is left out in the pursuit of development, adding that the timing of the assent makes the budget a perfect Christmas gift for the people of Enugu State, promising that its implementation would begin promptly in the New year.
The Enugu State government’s record-breaking budget allocates ₦837.9 billion to capital expenditure, accounting for 86% of the total sum, while recurrent expenditure is set at ₦133.1 billion.
