Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara says the year 2024 was a good year for the state despite the many attempts by enemies to cripple his administration.

To this end, the governor says his administration will build on the gains achieved and continue to prioritise the people’s welfare.

Speaking at a New Year’s Day banquet held at the Government House Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara says his administration will not relent in its efforts to provide security, good governance and meaningful projects to the people no matter the distractions.

It was a night of entertainment that brought together sons and daughters of the state from different walks of life.

It also provided the governor an opportunity to reflect on the previous year and set his agenda for the new year.

For Governor Siminalayi Fubara, 2024 began as a difficult year but turned out to be a great one for his administration.

With God’s help and the people’s support, the governor says his administration will work hard in 2025 to build on the gains of 2024.

He says he would not be deterred by the activities of those hell-bent on crippling the state because of their selfish agenda.

Instead of resorting to violence or dirty tricks like his detractors, the governor said he would let his administration’s good works speak for him.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara also used the opportunity to thank former Governor Peter Odili and other political leaders of the state for their support and assured that he would continue to protect the collective interest of the state at all costs.
