The Federal Government says it has implemented strategic measures to alleviate the current economic challenges faced by Nigerians, a consequence of recent economic policies.

Vice President Kashim Shettima said this during the distribution of relief materials to flood victims and vulnerable groups in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital. He also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a One-Stop-Shop Investment Center and Multi-Door Court under a World Bank-supported project.

Vice President Shettima described Nasarawa State as a key agricultural hub with the potential to feed the nation. He reaffirmed Federal Government’s commitment to supporting the state in realizing its agricultural ambitions under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative.

The Vice President emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence as a cornerstone for sustainable growth and commended the harmonious environment in Nasarawa State under Governor Abdullahi Sule’s leadership, despite its ethnic and religious diversity.

Speaking at the event, Governor Abdullahi Sule expressed gratitude to Vice President Shettima for his visit and acknowledged the Federal Government’s continuous support for Nasarawa State.

The Governor highlighted that Nasarawa State is fully aligned with the Federal Government’s agricultural agenda. He revealed that the state has allocated 10,000 hectares for rice production and an additional 500 hectares for other agricultural projects.

This multifaceted initiative signals a renewed focus on economic recovery, agricultural development, and humanitarian relief for the people of Nasarawa State.
