Tragedy struck in the Kuchibiyu Community of Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory as an explosion occurred at an Islamic school, leaving one person dead and several others injured.
According to the Chairman of Bwari Area Council, John Gabaya, who confirmed the incident to ait.live, the explosion occurred at a school where students from Katsina were being taught by a Malam, whose name is yet to be disclosed.

Gabaya revealed that four students were injured in the blast, in addition to a female food vendor who was selling “awara” to the students.
“When it exploded, it also affected her,” he said.
Meanwhile, Emergency responders and security personnel, including a police bomb disposal squad, were deployed to handle the situation. The injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
