Cross River State Governor, Senator. Bassey Otu

For years, several state assets in Cross River lay abandoned, neglected by past administrations, leaving them in a state of disrepair.

However, Governor Bassey Otu has taken a decisive step to breathe new life into these projects, fulfilling his administration’s promise to revamp and complete them for the benefit of the people.

The Governor embarked on an extensive inspection tour of key state projects in Calabar, starting with the reconstructed Governor’s Office Complex, now a state-of-the-art 21st-century facility.

Once in a dilapidated condition, the office has undergone complete transformation, embodying modern aesthetics and functionality.

Next on the Governor’s itinerary is the Local Government Service Commission and Pension Office which was abandoned for nearly a decade.

This facility has been revitalized with a design aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and boosting public service productivity.

Governor Otu described the project as a symbol of his administration’s dedication to completing critical projects initiated by previous administrations.

The Governor proceeded to inspect the ongoing reconstruction of the e-State Library Complex.

Once a source of public embarrassment due to years of abandonment, the library is being revamped to include modern amenities.

The inspection tour also took the Governor to various road projects sites, aimed at improving urban mobility and enhancing access across Calabar metropolis.
