Edo Police Commissioner Bows Out Of Service

The Commissioner of police Edo State, Umoru Ozigi has retired from Police Force after thirty five years of meritorious service to the country.

The command officially pulled him out of service in a grand ceremony held in Benin City that featured his pulling out parade graced by the governor of Edo state and other prominent personalities.

It was a colourful display of parade at the Ogida Police College where the Commissioner of Police Umoru Ozigi was officially pulled out of service

Activities for the event included a parade of guards in his honour, inspection of guards and a display of advanced drills by the Mobile Police Force Units.

The outgoing Commissioner who was visibly elated expressed gratitude to the Men and Officers of the Command for their support and cooperation during his time in Edo state.

He urged them to continue in their job of keeping the state safe from criminal elements.

Family, friends, work associates of CP Umoru and the Governor of Edo State Monday Okpebholo who was represented by his Deputy Dennis Idahosa, appreciated the Commissioner for his contributions in crime fighting in Edo during his short time in the state.

The Highlight was the cutting of his birthday cake which coincided with his pulling out of service.

CP Umoru joined the Police Force as a Cadet Officer and he became the 48th Commissioner of Police in Edo state in October of 2024.
