Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara says he would remain humble and continue to be guided by the fear of God and respect for the people.

Speaking at a ceremony put together to mark his 50th birthday, Governor Fubara added that no amount of power will change him, given the fact that he recognises that power is transient and comes from God

ait.live Correspondent in Port Harcourt reports that it was a few minutes to midnight, and just before the calendar turned its page to January 28, 2025 when some friends and political allies of the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara quietly gathered at his residence to felicitate with him on the significant milestone of attaining the Golden Age of 50.

Fubara said all he wanted was some quiet time with his family, but his wife had other idea.

Dame Valerie Fubara felt that her husband deserved some pampering for his hard work, so she invited some of his friends and political associates to a surprise party she had put together.

The gathering allowed the guest to share their thoughts about their ‘Golden Age Governor.’
