The Convener of the #RevolutionNow movement Omoyele Sowore has pleaded not guilty before Justice Musa Liman of the Federal High Court Abuja, to a 16-count charge bothering on cyber crime preferred against him by the Nigerian police force.
Sowore had honored the invitation by the police on January 27, for questioning.
The Police however, granted him administrative bail, which he rejected saying the conditions infringe on his fundamental rights and preferred to remain in custody.
He is being accused of making derogatory statements against the Inspector General of Police and the entire police force on social media.
