Tinubu’s wife Oluremi, Donates N100m to victims of Dynamite Explosion in Niger State, visits IBB, Abdul Salami

The wife of the President, Oluremi Tinubu has donated 100 million Naira to victims of the recent dynamite explosion at Sabon Pegi in Mashegu Local Government Area of Niger state.

Tinubu mafe the donation while commiserating with the Governor and people of the state, over the incident that led to the death of about 4, injured 13 people, and destroyed 40 houses and goods worth millions of Naira.

Oluremi Tinubu was accompanied on the condolence visit to Niger State over the deadly dynamite explosion at an illegal mining site in Mashegu Local Government Area and the Dikko Junction Petrol Tanker Explosion that occurred on January 18.

Tinubu said the donation for the recent incident is aimed at supporting families affected by the incident, and to also assist them in rebuilding their lives.

She said 70 families, through the wife of the Governor will receive one million Naira each, to help them settle, and another 30 million to help cater for other extra expenses like food items.

Responding, Governor Umar Bago expressed appreciation to the wife of the President for coming to share in the pains and to commiserate with the people of Niger State over the losses in recent times, saying it is a morale booster for the people of the state.

Similarly, the first lady also paid a private visit to former Presidents Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar and thanked them for their fatherly role in shaping the country.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu was accompanied on the condolence visit by the wife of the vice president, Nana Shettima among others.
