The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has described as null and void the purported suspension of the party’s chairman of the board of trustees, Senator Adolphus Wabara
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, citing section 57 (7) of the 2017 party’s constitution as amended, the PDP said no state working Committee has the power to suspend or take disciplinary action against any member of the National Executive Committee without due recourse to the National Working Committee.
The party went on to condemn the decision of Abia State PDP chapter, suspending the party’s Wabara, insisting that it will not hesitate to take appropriate action to preserve the stability and sanctity of the party and its constitution
