The Ondo State Police command says it has recorded a major success with the arrest of seven suspected kidnappers who have been terrorizing the state in the last two weeks.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Wilfred Afolabi, made the disclosure while parading the suspects before journalists in Akure, the state capital.
Afolabi said the arrests were made during operations in different locations across the state, following a recent wave of kidnappings in the state.

The police commissioner, who also noted that the arrests followed intelligence gathering and use of technical support, said those arrested are aged between 20 and 40 years.
The Police Commissioner further noted that a 40yr-old ex-convict, Ishaku Abdul, recently released from correctional centre, was also rearrested by the Police Special Anti-Kidnapping Squad (SAKS) after fresh information linked the suspect to the new wave of criminalities in the state.
The suspects, according to the police commissioner, would be charged to court after the conclusion of ongoing investigations.
