Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Heineken Lokpobiri, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Edwin Clark, describing him as a statesman who dedicated over 70 years to justice, equity, and development.
Lokpobiri acknowledged Clark’s enduring service to the nation, which he says has been a beacon of dedication and patriotism, impacting countless individuals across generations.
Edwin Clark, who died on February 18, 2025, at the age of 97, was a renowned Ijaw leader and politician from Delta State.
His illustrious career spanned several decades, with notable roles in various administrations, including those of military Governor Samuel Ogbemudia and head of state General Yakubu Gowon, between 1966 and 1975.
