The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), has intercepted one thousand five hundred and seventy-one litres of petroleum products in jerricans, being transported to banditry-prone locations.

The Public Relations Officer of the command, Umar Muhammad, who briefed journalists about the development on behalf of the State Commandant, Sani Mustapha, said the NSCDC operatives also apprehended four suspects from two separate locations, in connection with the crime.
He said two of the suspects are Filling Station Pump Attendants, while the others were buyers.

They were apprehended in the Birnin Magaji and Tsafe Local Government Areas of Zamfara State.
The NSCDC image maker said that aside from taking the fuel from what he called, a dark spot, they violated the Executive Order, banning the sale of petroleum products in jerricans in the state.
According to Muhammad, two of the suspects were arrested in Birnin Magaji with 1,296 litres, while the other two were in Tsafe, with two hundred and seventy-five litres of the product.
