The commissioner of police Lagos state command, Moshood Jimoh says the withdrawal of the security personnel attached to the speaker of Lagos state house of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda was in line with the ongoing audit of police personnel and fire arms assigned to Very Important Personalities( VIPs) across the state .
CP Jimoh made this public when he addressed journalists in Lagos amid concern over the sudden withdrawal of the security personnel attached to the speaker, Mojisola Meranda,

The CP further stressed that the exercise is not localized only in Lagos but across all the police commands in the country.
The reinstatement of the security personnel attached to the speaker no doubt has helped douse tension within the Assembly as political maneuvering continues to unfold in the state’s legislature.
