Nine farmers have lost their lives in a fresh terrorist attack on Karaga village, Bassa Ward, in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
The attack occurred on Wednesday night, February 26, when the terrorists stormed the village, targeting victims in their homes.
According to sources, six other persons were also abducted and numerous cattle were rustled in the Farin-Doki community, also within the Shiroro Local Government Area.
A resident, speaking anonymously, revealed that the victims in Karaga were brutally killed

It was also gathered that the 9 farmers were brutally murdered, but it cannot be ascertained whether there are more casualties as the local vigilantes are still searching the bushes for additional remains.
Other locals added that terrorists also raided Juwu-Farin-Doki in Erena Ward, though no casualties were recorded raising the alarm that the situation in Shiroro local government area remains alarming as communities are living in constant fear due to these recurring attacks.
3 days after the incident, no official statement has been issued by relevant authorities in the state as of the time of filing this report.
