Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa has been restored to his former position as speaker of Lagos state House of Assembly after his removal by overwhelming members of the house on January 13th 2025 over sundry allegations including misapropriation of funds.
Mojosola Lasbat Meranda who took over from Ajayi Obasa as Speaker also resigned her position having made history as the first female speaker of the state house of assembly. During the resumed plenary of the house Monday, Meranda thanked members for the support accorded her in her 49 days as speaker.
