The Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has expressed sorrow over the passing of Nigeria’s former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dubem Onyia, describing his death as a monumental loss to the nation.

In a statement personally signed by the Governor on Tuesday morning, Mbah noted that Onyia dedicated his life to serving the Ngwo community, Enugu State, and Nigeria as a whole.

He emphasized that Onyia’s vast experience, knowledge, and extensive national and international networks would be greatly missed.

The Governor further described the late statesman as a distinguished leader, consummate public servant, and patriot who devoted his entire career to the service of his people and the nation in various capacities.
