The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Mathew Hassan Kukah has called on public office holders, especially politicians to take the responsibilities attached to their positions more seriously as it is a social contract for the service of God and humanity.
Bishop Kukah was officiating a Pontifical Thanksgiving mass to celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration in Anambra State, Southeast Nigeria.
In his homily, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah of the Sokoto Catholic Diocese commended Governor Soludo’s developmental strides, but uraged him to always implement projects and programmes that will impact positively on the people, particularly the downtrodden.
