furniture worth millions of naira were on Monday destroyed by fire at the Rumueme axis of port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Eyewitnesses say the fire was ignited by artisan welders at work, Eyewitnesses narrated the cause of the fire.

They also accused the Rivers State fire service for contributing to great damage, As the traders count their losses, they want the rivers state government to come to their assistance.
The fire incident which started at about 11: 30am on Monday morning lasted for about two hours
