A nurse of the Primary Health Care centre Yelwata in the Guma local government area of Benue State Janet Serki who was stabbed about a month ago is crying for help.
Due to complications of the injury to her neck which hit a major nerve, the nurse is partially paralyzed and her attacker is yet to be apprehended.
The victim’s referral letter to the National hospital Abuja indicates features of post-traumatic cervical cord transaction at c6 vertebra.
Incapacitated as a result of the stabbing that left her lower body completely paralyzed Janet Serki a nurse and mother of 3 has been restricted to her hospital bed since the unfortunate incident occurred in Yelwata Guma local government over a month ago.
Of greater concern is the fact that her assailant is yet to be apprehended nor brought to justice.

Police Public relations officer Sewuese Anene said the police were on the trial of the suspect adding that the suspect’s husband was initially arrested but granted bail to go and produce his wife.
While the perpetrator is still a risk to society Janet Serki condition can no longer be handled by the State University teaching hospital Makurdi and was therefore referred to the National hospital since the 29th of June.
