The Chief of army staff, Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya, has charged men of the Nigerian army to take the war to the door steps of insurgents and bandits.
Lieutenant General Yahaya, who stated this at the end of his 2 days operational tour to different army formations in Katsina State said, enough is enough for all forms of insurgency which must end as the military is very determined to achieve it.

Shortly after visiting the Fort Muhammadu Buhari Forward Operating Base, housing the 171 battalion of the Nigerian army located in Daura Katsina State, the Chief of Army Staff, said he has gotten first hand information about the different ongoing operations been conducted and are well assessed.
The army chief also said, the essence of his visit is to reinvigorate the different operations and strengthen them to enable the troops take the war to the enclaves of bandits’ and criminals in the forest and destroy them.
He said, with his physical presence serving as a morale booster, the troops have now been encouraged to put in their best to end the ongoing insecurity bedeviling the nation with synergy from other security agencies.
The Army Chief also solicited for the support of the Emir of Daura, Umar Farouk, when he paid a solidarity visit to the traditional monarch in his palace.
He said it is very important for local to provide useful information to security personnel and advise them to desist from serving as informants to the bandits.
The Emir in his response, assured the army Chief of his Emirates support in totality so as to bring to an end the insecurity which he believes the current army chief will achieve.
