Some residents of Ado Ekiti, capital of Ekiti State, have expressed worry over the creation of additional 19 Local Council Development Area, LCDA, by the Ekiti State Government.
The residents who spoke with ait.live in Ado Ekiti, described the timing of such creation as wrong, stressing that it will have a negative impact on the already depleted finances of the state.

They also charged State governors in the country to support the autonomy of local governments so as to ensure that the dividends of democracy get to the grassroots
Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi on Friday signed into law a bill for the creation of additional 19 local council development authorities in the state.
