Owerri, the Imo state capital Monday 9th August experienced partial compliance to the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra IPOB.

Business activities witnessed down turn following the sit-at-home order.

Human and vehicular movements were low as major markets and Banks were shut.

However, in Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state, while enforcing compliance to the sit-at-home order, a bus conveying passengers from Umuahia to Mbaise was reportedly burnt leaving one person dead.

Meanwhile, Some Imo youths under the aegis of Coalition of Imo youths took to the streets of Owerri in a peaceful rally in reaction to the IPOB sit at home order.
