The Department of State Services (DSS) has asked the federal high court in Abuja to nullify the bail earlier granted to four of the 12 detained associates of embattled Yoruba agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho.
The DSS counsel, Idowu Awo in his application, urged Justice Obiora Egwuatu to cancel the bail granted to Amudat Babatunde, Abideen Shittu, Jamiu Oyetunji, and Bamidele Sunday, and remand the four detainees pending their arraignment during the court vacation.

Justice Egwuatu had on August 4, admitted the 12 applicants to bail after spending five weeks in the custody of the secret police, following their arrest on July 1, 2021, at Igboho’s Ibadan residence raided by DSS operatives, leaving two of his aids dead.
Idowu Awo who did not oppose bail application for eight out of the twelve, argued that investigation revealed that there is high level of complicity on the part of the four.
However, the bail perfection of the 12 detainees suffered a setback last Friday having failed to meet up with the bail conditions which is among 24 sureties for all detainees.
