Retired military officers as well as Nigerians have been tasked to remain sold out to the defense of the country in its quest to surmount its numerous security problems.
Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor, who made the call in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, equally called on civilians to join hands with security agencies to attain this feat.

The interactive session of retired senior military officers of the north-central geopolitical zone is at the instance of the Chief of Defence Staff.
As expected, most of such engagements are usually geared towards finding solutions to the country’s myriad of security challenges. The Defence Chief, therefore, used the opportunity to address a wider civil populace.
It is expected that the Nigerian military will hereafter harness these retired but not tired senior military officers’ wealth of experience to turn around the country’s security woos for the better.
