As part of its efforts to contain the spread of COVID 19, Lagos state government says it will commence administering the two hundred and ninety nine thousand doses of Moderna Covid 19 vaccines its received from the federal government on Wednesday twenty -fifth of August across its one hundred and fifty centres in the state.

The state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who stated this on Monday while giving update on the state government management and monitoring strategy of the third wave of COVID 19 at Lagos House Ikeja urged interested residents to log in to a dedicated portal to register adding that vaccination would be based on appointments.

Sanwo-Olu noted that vaccination is free and that residents should report any one demanding money before being vaccinated across the centres to the state government.
The governor added that another delivery of Astrazenaca vaccines will soon be available to the state urging people who had taken the first dose to be patience while expecting the second dose.
On the on-going strike action by residents doctors, Sanwo-Olu said it was unfortunate but that the government was working round the clock to resolve the impasse.
