CDS in Asaba, taps into retired military officers wealth of experience

Every Nigerian , irrespective of the divide, has been called upon, to be more committed to the peace and unity of the country, as the Nation’s various security operatives continue to grapple with several challenges Confronting it ,

The Chief of Defence Staff, Leo Irabor, who Made this call at an interactive session in Asaba, with the Retired Senior Military Officers in the South South Geo-political Zone, also charged them to Strive and be relevant , by bringing to the Table their Wealth of Experiences in and Out Of Office and to ensure that nothing happens to the peace and Unity of Nigeria which they fought for.

The Interactive Session was in Continuation of the CDS current visit , to the 6 Geo-political Zones of the Country and the Federal Capital Territory, to Rub minds with the Retired Senior Military Officers, in tackling the Country’s bewildering security Challenges .

The Chief of Defence Staff, appealed to the Retired Senior Officers from the Zone , to bring to bare their wealth of Experience while in Service and in Life after Retirement, to help in the current drive to Sustain the Onslaught against the Insurgents .

In their messages, the General Officer 6 Division and the Chief of Defence, Civil Military Cooperation, Said that the Military Counts on the Wealth of Experiences of their Retired Officers at a time like this and hoped that their inputs, will further boost the Moral and efforts already Put in place by the Military Hierarchy.

Some of the Military retirees, lauded the Chief Of Defence Staff Initiative of Consulting With them , as this will help to enrich his Knowledge of the Society at Large .

Issues Focused On as it affects the South South Zone, include Piracy , Illegal Oil bunkering , theft , vandalism , Kidnapping, cultism and Farmers /herders Clashes among others.
