Following the release of 18 abducted students and staff of Zamfara State College of Agriculture and Animal Science Bakura, Governor Bello Mohammed has announced new measures to forestall another abduction.
These include a directive to security operatives to shoot at any motorcycle carrying three persons within Zamfara State.

The Governor has also announced the closure of all markets and placed a ban on the saleof fuel in jerrycans as part of measures to contain the resurgence of attacks, killings and abduction by bandits.
He said the State Government will set up a task force to enforce the ban on sale of fuel in jerrycans with anyone found culpable dealt with according to the law of the land.
Governor Mohammed was speaking while receiving the 18 students and staff of the Bakura College of Agriculture and Animal Science who spent 12 in the hands of their abductors.
