As Abia state marks the 30th Anniversary of it’s creation, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, says the state has remained strong and United.
Speaking at the grand finale of a week long event to mark the Anniversary, the Governor observed that although the state was yet to reach it’s Apex, it has surpassed the expectations of the founding fathers.
He then reiterated the importance of security in economic development and promised that his administration will continue to ensure the security of lives and property of the citizenry.
While about his administration’s impact on Agriculture, Governor Ikpeazu informed all that, six cottage industries have been completed in the state.

He further stated that, there is aggressive rebranding effort, to reposition the state as the undisputed MSME centre of excellence in the country and beyond.
According to the Governor, Abia youths are now being directly engaged by footwear and garment industries all over the world, to come over and strengthen their workforce.
A former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, was among the Merit Awards recipients at the Abia State @30 ceremony.
