The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, the umbrella body for all medical doctors in Nigeria has given the Federal Government a 21 days notice to resolve all issues contained in the various agreements it signed with its affiliate members or it will embark on strike.

The affiliate members are the National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, MDCAN and the MEDSABAMS.
Rising from its National Executive meeting in Benin City, Edo state on Saturday, the NMA said it fully supports all its affiliate members in their bid to improve healthcare services in the country.
While NARD has been on strike for weeks, MDCAN has also threatened to embark on strike following allegations that the Federal Government has reneged on agreements it had with it.
