In a spirit of unity and sportsmanship, some Bauchi youths have organized a unique Ramadan football competition, that is bringing together both Christians and Muslims.
The football competition, which kicked off at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, had in attendance, youths coming together in unity, breaking down religious barriers, within the remaining few days of Ramadan.
8 teams registered for the competition.
It is aimed at promoting unity and understanding between Christians and Muslims, describing football as a universal language that brings people together.
According to them, the Ramadan tournament arose from the support of some notable stakeholders in the state, who contributed to seeing the initiative gain success.
For them, the Ramadan football competition is a shining example of the power of sports to bring people together, and prayed for a more united Nigeria.
