The Police in Zamfara State say they have killed bandit kingpin Dan Isuhu Mudale and several others, who have been terrorising Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.
A statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent Yazid Abubakar, said it is part of the Zamfara State Police Command’s efforts to rid the state of crime, and restore confidence among the citizens.
It said the feat was recorded following a report by a good Samaritan that a large number of armed bandits had stormed Keta town.
A joint operation of the Police Mobile Force, (PMF) and the Counter Terrorism Unit, (CTU), hunters and Community Protection Guards, (CPG) members mobilised and engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle.
The Zamfara State Police Command reassures the people of its total commitment to restoring peace.
It also urges citizens to report any suspicious behaviour to security agencies for prompt action.
