The National President of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Chris Isiguzo has called on the Nigerian government to extend rail transportation to states with critical mineral resources like Kogi State.

The NUJ President who said this when he was taken on project tour in Lokoja Kogi State, commended Governor Yahaya Bello for what he called prudent management of scarce resources.

He noted that the life span of Nigerian roads would be longer if complemented with rail infrastructure
