The Commandant General of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Major General Ibrahim Yusuf says that adequate measures are being put in place to forestall a reoccurrence of security breach at the academy.
The Commandant made this known when he appeared before members of the House of Representatives Committee on Defence to brief it on the incident of August 24th 2021.
General Yusuf confirmed that the attack on the academy led to the killing and abduction of officers but assured that plans are underway to secure the release of the abducted officers.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson called for an updated report on the attack as it would help to unravel the plans that led to the heinous act.
The meeting entered a closed door session after presentations by the Academy’s Commandant General.
