Suspected armed herdsmen on Saturday evening kidnapped students of Abia State University, Uturu, Abia state.
They also shot and killed a student of Marist Comprehensive Academy, Uturu. Donald Edeh,

They also robbed motorists and passengers who were en route Port Harcourt from Enugu and from Okigwe town to Enugu, respectively.
The incident which happened at Ihibe community in the Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo state, threw the community in a state of panic.
Marist school in statement on Sunday morning confirmed the killing of one of its students.
Three other students who were injured. are receiving treatment and are responding to treatment.
The police spokesperson in Imo state, Micheal Abattam, when contacted told our correspondent that the police had swung into action.
According to Abattam the incident was a robbery attack and not a kidnap operation.
It could be recalled that suspected herdsmen had on June 10, 2021, kidnapped scores of travelers on the same spot. and on 2021 April kidnapped a catholic priest, Izuchukwu Onyeocha, who is a professor of Sociology at Imo state University in Owerri.
