Retired Police Officers in Niger State have staged a peaceful protest as part of measures to actualize their exit from the present Contributory Pension Scheme.
The Retired Police Officers converged on the Police Officers Mess, from where the protest began and terminated at the Police Headquarters Minna, the Niger State capital.
The aggrieved retired Police Officers were drawn from all the twenty-five local government areas of Niger State.
Some of the issues contained in a letter to the Inspector-General of Police, presented to the representative of the Commissioner of Police Niger State, bordered on how the retired Officers are being treated after serving their country for between thirty and thirty-five years.
