Sharon bus conveying Corp members involved in fatal accident in Nasarawa State

A Sharon bus conveying Batch B stream 2 corps members shortly after their passing out parade, knocked down a little girl from Sabo village in Keffi Local Government Area of the state about two hundred metres away from the NYSC orientation camp before somersaulting.

The NYSC Corp members were heading to their place of primary assignments when the accident happened.

One of the victims of the auto accident, Mr. Christopher Jonathan, explained that while on transit, he saw a little girl ran into the main road and the driver tried to dodge her but he could not and lost control of the wheel and knocked the girl down, killing her on the spot, before the bus somersaulted

The Father of the deceased girl, Malam Abubakar Ibrahim who said he left the untimely death of his daughter, Maridiya Ibrahim, in the hands of Allah, appealed to the government and stakeholders to ensure regular mental check-ups for drivers before mounting the steering.

The bus was totally damaged but no Corps Member life was lost to the accident.

The injured Corps Members were given first-aid treatment at the Sabo Gari Primary Health-care Centre by some medical doctors from the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi.
