Taiwo said another five victims who were initially kidnapped from the same community were also released.
On the Fourth of September 2021, a mother and her daughter were kidnapped from their house in Pegi Community.
A few days later, their abductors demanded one hundred million Naira as ransom but later reduced the amount to fifty million Naira.
While the mother was released a few days later, following payment of an undisclosed amount, the daughter was held back.
On Saturday night, the girl was released along with other persons that were kidnapped many weeks ago.
However, while these victims gained their freedom through payment of ransom, a woman who was kidnapped with her eight-month-old baby is still being held.
