Workers and business owners, living along the border villages and towns, on the Nyanya-keffi Expressway, have been trapped in heavy traffic.
The traffic gridlock which started from the Kugbo checkpoint, has extended to the Orange market brigde in Mararaba.

Though no government officials could give the exact reason for the traffic jam, but those who spoke to ait.live, blamed the development on the check point mounted by the security agencies along the road, to prevent suspected criminals from entering the federal Capital Territory.
Few days ago security agencies raise alarm over security threat on the nation’s capital, warning the general public against suspected planned attack on Abuja, during the Oct 1 celebration.
On Monday members of the proscribed Islamic sect popularly known as Shiites, were also seen moving from Mararaba towards the Abuja city centre and these may have been responsible for the security concerns along the Abuja keffi expressway.
Meanwhile some security agents have been deployed to the area to make it safe for motorists and other road users.
