Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, has asked Nigerians to remain steadfast in their belief for a strong and united Nigeria.

In a statement by his Director-General, Media and Publicity, Abdu Labaran, to mark the 61 years of political independence, Masari said, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, even as the country is faced with daunting security challenges.

He observed that no nation can achieve its goals, when citizens are constantly in conflict with one another, on account of divergent tendencies.

Governor Masari said, for Nigeria to develop into the country of our dream, there should be no room for tendencies that will exploit our fault lines, and pitch one section against another, in an unnecessary confrontation.

According to Masari, as the nation develops, our attitude should also reflect the journey that brought us together this far and reason for the journey.

He however expressed worries at the attitude of some Nigerians, with their lackadaisical attitude, saying that such attitude is not helpful, to the collective interest of the nation, and called for joint efforts, to drive the nation to an enviable height.

Masari added that President Muhammadu Buhari needs our sustained commitment and prayers, to enable him successfully continue in the path he has started, to steer the nation, through the numerous challenges confronting, and even threatening, its corporate existence.

The Governor urged Nigerians to support and to appreciate the security agencies, in their efforts, to end, the various security challenges confronting the country.
