Edo state governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has assured Muslims in the State that his administration will continue to promote policies and programmes that will foster peace and unity among people of all faith.
Governor Okpebholo made the remarks when he played host to Muslim faithful who were in Government House, Benin City, to pay the Governor Sallah Homage on this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Dennis Idahosa explained that as a government that promotes peace, he has given marching orders to security agencies to identify and arrest perpetrators of the killing of travellers in Uromi, Esan North east local government area of the state few days ago.
Governor Okpebholo called on the Muslim faithful in the State to continue to pray for peace and development, assuring that Edo will continue to be a fertile ground for investors and investments to thrive.
