The Federal Government has been called upon to expedite action on the passage of the Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters NITI Bill.

The National President of NITI, Professor Miko Yakasai, made the call during the 2021 International Translation Day Lectures, held at Bayero University, Kano.
At a lecture organized by the Department of linguistics and foreign languages of Bayero University, the National President of the Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters, Professor Miko Yakasai said, the use of Nigerian languages for teaching science and technology would enhance economic potentials.
The International Translation Day 2021, with the theme: “United in Translation,” witnessed a large turnout of academicians, students from within and outside the state, journalists and the general public.
