The Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission, NASIEC, says the Commission is ready to conduct Local Government elections that will reflect the wishes of people of the state.
Chairman of NASIEC, Ayuba Wandai said this in an exclusive Interview with ait.live in Lafia, the state capital.
The elections to vote in new 13 local government chairman and 147 councilors across Nasarawa state is just a day to go, that is on the 6th of October , 2021.
NASIEC chairman Ayuba Wandai said the commission as an instrument of law is working within the confines of the law to ensure that elections in the state is conducted in a free and fair manner.

Some political actors from different parties also bare their minds on the October 6th local government elections.
NASIEC chairman assured the people that the Local Government elections would accommodate views of people from security risks areas as the commission is collaborating with security agencies to ensure that electorates are not disenfranchised at the polls.
