About 12 persons are believed to have been killed by suspected bandits who invaded Sakajiki Community in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred Thursday night when the suspected bandits stormed the community setting many houses, shops and vehicles ablaze, including operational vehicles of the security agencies.
The sources explained that the bandits came into Sakajiki Community at about 9:20 PM local time, and operated till 4 AM.
This incident is coming barely two weeks after 18 persons were murdered by suspected bandits at Kurya Madoro, in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of the state.
Efforts by AIT news to get the police to confirm or deny the development was unsuccessful.
